Outcry in wake of N3 accident

Cosatu is shocked that construction workers were forced to continue working after their colleague was killed by a truck on the N3 highway in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.

It described as "disgusting" an incident in which a construction worker was killed and shortly after two more were killed when two trucks ploughed into the rest of the workers, injuring several.

Cosatu secretary in KwaZulu-Natal, Zet Luzipho, said workers should have been told to stop working after their colleague was killed. - Sapa
