A man appeared in the Ventersburg magistrate's court on Monday, on charges of house breaking with the intent to commit an unknown crime and attempted housebreaking - after he fell asleep on the job, Thabong police said on Tuesday.
The man - who allegedly fell asleep in the house he broke into on Sunday evening - was arrested by Ventersburg police after the complainant led police to her bed where the man was sleeping, said police spokesperson Sergeant Malebo Khosana.
Police said that officers lifted the sheets and found the partially clothed man,
"He smelt of alcohol, was woken up by the police and taken to Ventersburg police station where he was charged," said Khosana. - Sapa
