Here's diva Christina

November 08, 2005 Edition 1

Pop diva Christina Aguilera arrived at Johannesburg International Airport yesterday after flying in with some fast company to raise money for the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and Unite Against Hunger fund.

This week's events culminate with the Altech South African Grand Prix at Kyalami on Sunday.

Aguilera, British boyband Westlife, violinist Lucia Micarelli and singers Deborah Cox and Diana Ross, as well as local artists, will host a gala dinner for the charities at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg tomorrow night.

Aguilera brought the airport to a standstill when she arrived with her entourage.

Commuters gawked as she was whisked away. "Who is that?" asked a confused passenger.

"It's Christina Aguilera," said his unimpressed teenage daughter.

Former Formula 1 big names Nigel Mansell, Alan Jones, Alain Prost and Nelson Piquet will line up in the "masters" series of grand prix racing.
